Hi Everyone!

We had a great first practice last night! What fun it was to meet the riders I did not know already, and I loved being reunited with those riders I had not seen all winter.

Race registration opens at 7am on April 1. To register, go to www.neyouthcycling.com and click “RACING” in the upper right-hand corner. You can sign up for as many races as you want. You will get a discount of $5 per race if you sign up for all 6 races at once. Your time and date of registration determines the start position of your rider for the first race only. Start position for races after race #1 is determined by results. Registration closes the Wednesday at midnight before each race. No exceptions are made if you miss registration.
There is new and cool NEYC merchandise for sale at our team sponsor’s shop, Riverside Cycle in MBTS. Go down and check it out!
Be sure your child has a spare tube kit with them at all times for both practices and race days.

If you did not select a race category when you signed up for the league, please talk with Val to select the proper category for races.

There is a need for volunteers from every team so the league assigned a few teams per race as their “home race”. Our home race is in Wampatuk (Hingham, MA) on June 5. If our team provides more volunteers than the other teams at that race, the Hammerheads will be given $500. If we are the second team with the highest number of volunteers, the team gets $250. Then, at the series finale in Great Glen we’ll have the opportunity to win $450-0 for the Hammerheads!

Race schedule is as follows;
May 1 Massasoit (Middleboro, MA)
May 8 Winding Trails (Farmington, CT)
May 15 Treasure Valley (Rutland, MA)
June 5 Wompatuck (Hingham, MA)
June 12 Stratham, NH
June 19 Mt. Abenaki (Great Glen, NH)
